KIS initially approached us to help streamline inefficient software processes affecting one of their major clients, a medical industry partner that relies on KIS to manage and fulfill awards.
It started out simple: award recipients would sign in, see the awards won, and redeem them. However, this quickly turned into a logistical nightmare behind the scenes. Sasha, President and CEO of KIS, found herself deep in Spreadsheet Hell™ trying to keep tabs on redemptions and maintain accurate records. Sasha was forced to be dependent upon the software vendor for tracking and record management.
the solution
Using Microsoft Dataverse and Power Apps, we created a website that lets people sign in to see the awards and redeem them. That data is then automatically populated and stored for Sasha's reference later. The idea was to streamline the process for everyone by eliminating the need for countless spreadsheets. With this system, it starts simple and stays simple: the award recipient uses the website, and KIS sees the data immediately.
the result
Now, Sasha is able to review pages for recipient awards, and all necessary information is contained within a single page (affectionately called Zeus). Sasha says the back-and-forth communications and the endless spreadsheets have ended. The process is streamlined so that nobody has to wait on anybody else to obtain the information they need.
"Zeus started as a simple discussion with Joe as he worked on my computer. I was complaining about all the struggles we had. Joe's response was, 'We have a solution that will make your life and your client's life easier.' And thus, Zeus was born. We now have an online proofing portal that allows for more than 650 award recipients to 'redeem' their award, personalization for clients, and accurate shipping information. If that alone wasn't worth the price of admission, the back end allows us to be super responsive to clients by quickly implementing their requested changes. A happy client is a long-term client!"
